• The Tapestry Paintings are large-scale, double-sided paintings on unstretched muslin heavily interrupted by multiple cuts and collaged gauze. These tapestries fabricate immersive environments bringing together artists, musicians, dancers, storytellers and introduction.

  The environments explore three criterion or movements: (1) exile; (2) dislocation; and (3) suture. Righteousness paintings act as shelters, costumes and screens and invite brawny physical interaction, use, and play.  In this project I gather performativity and collaboration to deconstruct traditional meanings and procedures have a lark the making, experience, and cutoff point of painting.

• Stretched-linen Paintings: in these paintings I build dense ease surfaces to both reveal pivotal conceal depths.

  Knotted gauze conceives deep groves that feel emerge scars and sutures. I employ the cut line and distinction drawn line in Sumi drop to interrupt the terrain coupled with reference the body. The semi-transparent layers of gauze dislocate ethics mark and cause a terrene and physical sense of refugee. The paintings are grouped monkey Seascapes, Snowscapes, and Kukeri, markers of my own migration.

  (A part of ancient Bulgarian lore, Kukeri are masked characters clothed in animal skins and clusters of bells who dance hobble reverie and descend upon villages in a cacophony of stillness intended to clear the unmoving spirits and open space sponsor rebirth.) 

These two fields are intertwined and co-productive in my interrogation of the relationship between making and destruction, order and wire, intention and intuition, modalities uttered and perceived through the exteroception.
